I started looking for wedding planners in the autumn of 2024 without knowing where to begin. I heard about Book in Marrakech through a Marrakech friend who had recently married in the city. I contacted them because I was planning to propose to my then-partner in Marrakech. A few important points for anyone in a similar situation! I live in London and, at the time, I had never been to Morocco. I wanted it to be even more exceptional than my partner expected, and I was torn between hiring different suppliers myself or engaging a wedding planner. I first tried to handle it myself, without success: dealing directly with venues and suppliers was frustrating, and they were generally very slow to reply. So I opted for a wedding planner. The Book in Marrakech team was wonderful. Response times were sometimes a little long, but they immediately understood my vision once I showed them Pinterest photos, and it was clear they had experience. I was arriving on the day of the proposal, and we had agreed with Maryem, from the Book in Marrakech team, that she would arrive on site early to prepare everything in advance. Imagine my impatience as I walked my girlfriend to the proposal venue without having seen it myself! To my great relief and joy, Maryem had perfectly respected my wishes, with remarkable attention to detail — she even reproduced the exact punctuation on the cake I had ordered! My girlfriend was absolutely amazed, and although the service was not cheap, in hindsight the investment was truly worth it. We have incredible photos and memories, and I am deeply grateful to Maryem and her team for making this special moment possible.
